A With Flatshifter electronic operation there is no need for large, heavy & complicated air compressors, tanks, regulators, valves, etc. The Flatshifter Max System is fully solid state operation with only 1 moving part providing ultimate reliability. Electric operation also means that it won’t possibly rob your engine of the power that an air system will take and you don’t have to worry about your tank running out of air on the final lap, pneumatic systems are also far more expensive than electric systems, heavier and lot more complicated to install and set up.

Since the system is energised for the duration of the button push (not a pulsed time) then a positive push on the up button will take you from 1st to 2nd, whereas a quick stab at the button takes you from 1st to neutral. It is a simple technique that you easily acquire.
Q I have heard that all quickshifter systems need a lot of setting up to get them adjusted and working correctly, normally a separate test session or 2, is this correct?
A Normally with most systems on the market yes, but the Flatshifter clutch-less shift systems are designed and pre-adjusted to work perfectly straight out of the box 99% of the time, and the other 1% may need a very small adjustment.
Q Can I expect any performance gain by using a Flatshifter clutchless quick-shift system? (Club, Pro & Expert)
A Yes, you can expect a distance gain of at least 1 meter per full throttle up-shift. For example, 10 gear shifts per lap over a 20 lap race will add up to quite a significant advantage over your competitors.
Q I have seen other quick shifters for sale but none with your downshift auto throttle blip system. How does it work?
A By operating the gear lever in the downshifting direction, the patented throttle blip system allows a smooth downshift to be made at all speeds without the need for a slipper clutch. The downshift actuator spindle replaces the original engine idle adjuster screw and provides a precise throttle-blip of the correct level to ensure a smooth downshift. (unloading the pressure on the meshing gears allowing a gear shift) The system has a built-in inhibitor which helps prevent rear wheel locking or engine damage caused by shifting down at too high engine speed.
